As an integral addition to this leading engineering company as an HSEQ Manager you will be responsible for construction projects London and the M25 and a workshop. An autonomous role to make your own initially addressing systems compliance coupled with site inspections across 8/ 9 projects. If you can demonstrate experience of driving through positive change then you are what our client needs. The role will be to review Health and Safety culture, maintaining accreditation compliance and looking at the Health, Safety and Quality goals of the business. Essentially there is a requirement for auditing to ISO 9001/14001 and 18001. This role requires a self-starter who is looking for a diverse HSEQ role requiring proven strong management systems knowledge, alongside construction site inspections. Essentially your Health and Safety background must demonstrate a proven track record across major build construction projects, preferably with a major contractor. Additionally, experience of preparing and planning lifting plans, accident investigation reporting, SHE site audits/inspections, risk assessments, method statements. Working autonomously you will set your own diary and schedule site visits and inspections accordingly. The clients’ projects are all around the London M25 area and the ability to communicate with clients and contractors is essential. You will be required to chair regular SHE meetings, produce SHE Bulletins, detailed HSE reports for presentation to the Board, provide SHE Performance League tables and liaise with HSE Statutory bodies. Additionally you will have responsibility for the Health and Safety of the manufacturing workshop which currently has 30 staff and has recently undergone a programme of significant investment.
