Health and Safety Advisor - Events/Consultancy

An exciting opportunity for a dynamic Health and Safety professional to join an interesting and creative organisation within the events sector. This role will be well suited to a candidate with previous health and safety experience within theatre, TV, film or other creative fields. This is the ideal role for somebody who has a strong consultancy background in managing health and safety for multiply clients, advising companies on their legal duties and implementing health and safety polices and systems. Key responsibilities will include developing and delivering health and safety training, writing and auditing event management plans for live productions, being the point of contact for all safety related matters for the company, leading safety management and supporting projects with onsite safety advice. The successful candidate will have good working knowledge of CDM 2015 and construction phase plans and will have the ability to proactively seek out new clients carrying our evaluations and audits of H&S systems. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of a NEBOSH General Certificate, NCRQ or equivalent and you will ideally hold a minimum of TECH IOSH status. This is a brand new role, therefore there is an opportunity to make it your own and develop health and safety throughout the organisation. This is a small organisation who encourage flexible working practices, you can work from home however you will need to be in the office one day week. A UK driving licence is essential and the ability to be flexible and travel to various locations throughout the UK is key. Might include overnight stays and travelling abroad. As the Quality Manager you will be working across two sites based in Lincolnshire & Wiltshire within a well-established team. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Quality Manager who will be responsible for driving a ‘right first time’ mentality across the manufacturing processes ensuring all standard operating procedures (SOPs) are in place and are being adhered to by production at both sites. This is the opportunity to lead from the front and hold full autonomy in running all aspects of the Quality Planning process. You will analyse & improve manufacturing processes conducting Audits, supporting production department requirements and develop quality control plans. This is a constantly developing role dealing with bespoke customer requirements and a great challenge for a highly motivated, hands on Quality Manager. As the Quality Manager you will have a strong manufacturing background with prior experience of working within a similar bespoke manufacturing environment. You will hold affiliation with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) with Knowledge/training/experience of Lean, Six Sigma & Total Quality Management. You will have a strong understanding of Management System Standards (MSS) such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, PAS 99 for example. Knowledge or affiliation with the European Foundation of Quality Management (EFQM) – preferable although not essential.
