It would be advantageous to have a chemical/scientific degree or experience within a chemical working environment and you must have experience of working within a manufacturing/R&D or engineering environment. As the Environmental, Health and Safety Manager you will develop, maintain and implement EHS policies, procedures and guidelines at the site/discipline in line with business needs that supports the overall EHS strategic goals. Lead the development of the EHS Improvement Plan and co-ordinate activities required to achieve it, assisting where necessary in the investigation, monitoring and reporting of accident, incident, dangerous occurrences & injury and prepare reports for management and the HSE. Responsible for maintaining and managing conditions and requirements set out in site environmental permits. Whilst collaborating with and advising relevant departments to support Process Safety. The successful candidate This is the ideal position for somebody who has a solid background in Risk Assessments, investigating accidents and managing contractors within multiple sites. You will ideally have a minimum of 2 years health and safety experience, preferably within the leisure or estates sector. Proven experience with fire safety, personal injuries, vehicle incidents and designing and delivering training is ideal. Previous experience in a Health and Safety position supporting with projects and events is desired, and the ability to liaise with suppliers, sub-contractors and external bodies is required whilst supporting the rest of the group with all Safety related matters.
