Exciting expansion into new territories! This is an amazing opportunity for a Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Manager to lead a brand new site in Cambridgeshire. During the factory start-up phase, the Quality, Safety, Health and Environment Manager will be responsible for developing the site internal Quality, Safety and Environmental Management systems, as well as managing the process towards third-party certifications for Quality & Food Safety (e.g. BRC7 or ISO 22001, HACCP), Health & Safety (OHSAS 18001) and Environment (ISO 14001). As the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental Manager you will be a key member of the factory leadership team, the QHSE Manager will be responsible for ensuring operations on the new site are compliant with all the relevant quality, health and safety, and environmental regulations, as well as with relevant third-party certifications and internal standards. The successful NEBOSH qualified professional will be passionate about QSHE and people. It is essential to hold Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP level 3 and desirable to be a member of IEMA and internal audit qualifications would also be an advantage. As the leader of QSHE you will be responsible for acting as the principal point of contact on all quality, food safety, safety and environmental matters. Providing training and mentoring to all staff on quality, food safety, safety and environmental matters. You will facilitate timely, robust and effective containment and corrective actions related to any QSHE non-conformances. Developing and implementing the site internal Quality Management System and creating the site HACCP plan. You will manage & monitor ongoing compliance of products and processes to external and internal quality and food safety requirements. Whilst managing the process towards third-party certifications - e.g. BRC7 or ISO 22001 and HACCP. Working towards the site objective of 0 RIDDOR and 0 LTA, manage & monitor ongoing compliance to site health & safety standards and create a behavioural safety culture and managing the process towards third-party certification OHSAS 18001. Environmentally you will develop and implement the site internal Environmental Management System, including the creation of all associated policies and procedures that must be in place at the start of production to comply with the site bespoke IPPC permit. To be successful you must have previous experience of overall responsibility for managing QSHE systems in a manufacturing environment is essential; previous experience in beverage, food or FMCG industries is desirable. You will have First-hand knowledge of relevant quality standards (ISO, BRC) and food safety methodologies (HACCP principles) is essential. Good working knowledge of managing environmental compliance in a facility covered by a bespoke IPPC is essential; previous experience of putting together bespoke permit application and all associated documentation is desirable. Regulatory & Approvals Manager - High Tech Manufacturer

The primary responsibilities of this position include managing the IMC product and company compliance strategy and infrastructure; directing and supporting compliance activities including policies, programs, and practices for Europe and International markets. This applies to all applicable existing, new and developing product standards, laws, rules and regulations for the relevant markets across all new or existing products. You will collaborate with the business units to analyse and recommend best course of action for the Company in terms of compliance and regulatory strategy. This position is to ensure product and company compliance, working with all the necessary stakeholders. Reporting to the Head of Quality & Compliance you will have specific responsibilities; Execute strategies and processes to drive IMC product compliance to global regulatory requirements and to be consistently recognized as the subject matter expert. You will Coordinate the implementation of IMC product compliance programs, policies and procedures and ensure product compliance with all Directives, country-level, and applicable international product compliance core requirements and market regulatory standards including but not limited to REACH, RoHS, WEEE, EU Directives, EMC and RSL. This also includes obtaining and managing medical device market approval and certification. Establish and implement IMC product compliance verification and assessment/audit programs, this includes managing product approval surveillance audits, and this involves ensuring that construction data and critical parts lists are kept up to date. You will have contact with international approval bodies including but not limited to BSI, VDE, UL, TUV, etc to establish pricing and timescales for formal marking approvals. You will oversee the company legal compliance program, e.g. security, HR, finance, H&S, environmental, etc. As the Regulatory & Approvals Manager you must hold a Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required, an Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree is preferred. With 10+ years of experience in regulatory compliance product and issues management, both domestic and international. Medical (ISO13485), environmental (ISO14001), food industry, and measurement instruments products industry experience is highly preferred. Previous experience leading and hands-on management of a regulatory product compliance department for a global industry is desired. Knowledge of UL, CSA, NOM, VDE, TUV and other related third party approval body processes. You will have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of test methodologies, test standards, and industry best practices for product safety and regulatory compliance and strong working knowledge of UL, IEC safety standards and machine safety and other safety organizations/directives and have attended recognised courses in relevant fields such as EMC, LVD, CE.
