Exciting opportunity for a Quality and Environmental Manager to join the UK’s largest manufacturer and distributor of packaging products. As the Quality and Environmental Manager you will sit within the senior management team at head office and travel nationally, supporting over twenty regional distribution centres and manufacturing sites with Quality & Environmental best practice and compliance. You will focus on providing expert advice and support on all Quality and Environmental related matters, acting as a key point of contact for the wider business network. There will be an acute focus on managing and maintaining the company’s Quality Management Systems and Accreditations in accordance with the appropriate standards and relevant applicable legislation (current standards include: ISO 9001 & ISO 15378), ensuring the QMS can support the HSQE, Sales and Operational objectives of the business. You will drive the development and implementation of the QE strategy focused on legal compliance and the needs of the business. Through the development of relationships across the business, you will ensure all customer requirements are exceeded whilst leading the development of a QE culture. As the Quality and Environmental Manager you will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH general with relevant knowledge and experience of management systems ISO14001, ISO9001 and ISO15378. Ideally you will have experience in a packaging, logistics, distribution or manufacturing environment. You will have a strong working knowledge of ISO related compliance and some proven experience of FRC and/or BRC would also be advantageous .You must also have proven experience of working within a large fast paced business covering multiple sites.
