Previous experience in a Health and Safety position within a warehouse, logistics or transport /fleet environment is essential. Examples of leading and managing health and safety projects within multiply sites is advantageous. Knowledge and experience of OHSAS 18001 and food safety is desirable. Outstanding report writing and strong investigation skills are required. You will have the ability to work on your own Initiative and as part of a team. You will have fantastic communications skills and the ability to be empathetic. You will be target driven and always striving for improvement with a determined attitude. To be considered for this role you must have a minimum of a NEBOSH Diploma Certificate, NCRQ or equivalent and you will ideally hold a minimum of Grad IOSH status. Preferably working towards CMIOSH. A UK driving licence is essential and the ability to be flexible and travel to various locations throughout the northern regions of the UK is key. This Chemical leader is looking for a highly experienced and professional Regulatory Affairs Advisor to help them achieve full compliance with chemical regulations worldwide, supporting multiple business sectors thereby ensuring continued business licence to operate. As the Regulatory Affairs Advisor you will ensure the regulatory requirements of the business sectors are delivered in a timely manner to ensure continued business license to operate. Creating and maintaining and updating specialist regulatory hazard communication information (safety data sheets and product labels) to ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements. You will provide regulatory support to sector technical, commercial, and manufacturing functions to ensure the timely and compliant introduction of New Products, thus enable sustainable business growth. Managing all relevant supply chain communication (customers and business units) to provide timely and transparent delivery of regulatory compliance for raw materials. Review and interpret regulatory information from registration dossiers/Chemical Safety Reports, and ensure relevant data is entered into the business Safety Data Sheet system and communicated via SDS. You will carry out product registrations, EU Classification and Inventory notifications and Poison Centre notifications. Providing sector support on the compliant transport of dangerous goods according to requisite chemical regulations worldwide. To be considered for the Regulatory Affairs Advisor opportunity you must hold a degree or equivalent in one or more of the following disciplines: Chemistry, Toxicology, Ecotoxicology, Biochemical sciences or a related subject. With in depth knowledge of global chemical hazard classification, labelling and packaging legislation (GHS). You will have experience in authoring safety data sheets and labels according to requisite chemical legislation worldwide, using a recognized global regulatory system (ideally Sphera (Atrion) or equivalent). Wirth knowledge of EU-REACH and global equivalents and country specific product notification/product registration schemes worldwide. You will have strong knowledge of EU Classification and labelling inventory notification and Poison Centre notification requirements.
