Principal Designer
A well establish built environment consultancy are seeking to increase their division with a Principal Designer. Due to an expansion in the workload of projects they are looking for an APS qualified, experienced pre-construction phase plans Principal Designer. With multiple fast paced projects this is a varied and challenging position. The role will be advising and delivering the statutory duties of the Principal Designer as defined by CDM regulations, to multiple projects. You will have experience of working on a number of Principal Designer duties over a wide range of built environment projects. You must have acted as Principal Designer for at least 3 years working with pre-construction phase plans, be a current Member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and hold a level 3 Health and Safety Certificate (NEBOSH, NCRQ or equivalent). The role will be office based with client visits primarily within the M25 easily accessible by public transport. You must be very comfortable with working in a client-facing capacity, demonstrate excellent communication skills, presentation and commercial awareness. In exchange this consultancy will offer 100% support and they have a proven history of training and development. Requirements: Minimum level 3 Health and Safety Certificate (NEBOSH, NCRQ or equivalent). 3 years minimum experience as a pre-construction phase plans Principal Designer. IMaPS or higher membership. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: CMaPS.

CDM Consultant / Principal Designer
Expanding and established UK construction consultancy are seeking an addition to their successful Leeds team. Our long standing client is recruiting a motivated and forward thinking, professional CDM Consultant / Principal Designer to work within their design team. This role would suit candidates who have experience of performing the CDM Consultant / Principal Designer role and ideally come from a consultancy, CDM-Coordinator background. You will work as part of a close knit team of CDM Consultants / Principal Designers on several of their major client accounts delivering advice and guidance across multiple projects. You will ideally be Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety (IMAPS) and hold a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate, NCRQ Certificate or equivalent. You must have a construction background (design team environment is the ideal) with a sound construction–based health and safety knowledge.
