Expanding and established UK construction consultancy are seeking an addition to their successful Principal Design team. Our long standing client is recruiting motivated and forward thinking, professional Principle Designers across England to work on exciting projects. Candidates must have experience of performing the Principle Designer role and ideally come from a consultancy, CDM-Coordinator background. You will work as part of a close knit team of consultants on several of their major client accounts delivering advice and guidance across multiple projects. You will ideally be Incorporated Member of the Association for Project Safety (IMAPS) and hold a minimum of NEBOSH General Certificate. You must have a construction background (design team environment is the ideal) with a sound construction based health and safety knowledge and a construction design based qualification preferably at degree level. Requirements: Level 3 H&S qualification (NEBOSH Certificate, NCRQ Certificate or equivalent). Minimum 3 years experience as a CDM-C/Principal Designer. APS membership, extensive knowledge of CDM2015. Construction design qualification. Preferred: Diploma level H&S qualification (NEBOSH Diploma, NCRQ Diploma or equivalent). Degree level qualification in construction design based subject.

Health and Safety Advisor
Health and Safety Manager sought for an extremely successful and established developer of Light Industrial, Warehouse, Commercial and Data Centres throughout the UK and Europe. Due to Increased business demand and exciting expansion plans, they now seek an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to be a key part of the business. Your role as Health and Safety Advisor will support the Head of Health and Safety in supporting the delivery of the health and safety strategy, providing Health and Safety across the group and construction sites. As Health and Safety Advisor you will be a clear and concise communicator with the ability to communicate and engage at all levels of the group and the entire supply chain of suppliers and contractors with credibility and gravitas. You will also have an equal mix of operations and strategy. The ideal applicant will be UK focused with a view to developing their role to include Europe. You will have general commercial awareness within a corporate environment together with knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations and construction phase plans. Responsibilities of the Health and Safety Advisor include: Day to day implementation and monitoring of policies, systems and procedures. Accident investigations, estate audits, construction site inspection reporting and analysis. Assist with reactive Health and Safety incidents and managing risk. Manage necessary Health and Safety assessment of suppliers. Give advice and support across group for issues as they arise within Refurbishment risk assessments, workstation assessments, corporate events etc Skills Sought: Nebosh General Certificate and be a Technical member of IOSH. Excellent Clear and Concise communication skills. Proven ability to influence and challenge. Experience of the legal requirements of CDM 2015, Fire and Asbestos regulations. Detailed knowledge of HSE legislation. Enforcing working practices and Health and Safety to suppliers and construction contractors of their contractual obligations. Must have an interest in detail and analysis skills.

Dynamic, prestigious, well established national consultancy firm is looking to recruit a professional Principle Designer to work within their Leeds design team. This role would suit candidates with a minimum of 2 years H&S experience looking to work on a number of fast paced projects. Development and training will is offered to CMAPS standard. Candidates must have a construction background (design team environment is the ideal) with a sound construction–based health and safety knowledge. The role will be client facing so you will need excellent communication and diplomacy skills to enable best practice across site and partners. The company offers an excellent starting base salary up to £35,000 including car allowance and support in future APS qualifications.
