H&S and Fire Assessor - Home based
Stevenage to Norfolk
One of the largest property management companies in the UK are continuing to grow their H&S and Fire team with the addition of an Assessor based around the Cambridge area. An excellent salary is coupled with a bonus and outstanding investment in people. The role will be home base with frequent travel across the area for Health and Safety and Type 1 Fire Risk assessment of both private and public residential properties. Due to this candidates must have a full, clean UK driving licence. Essential: Certificate level H&S qualification (NEBOSH Certificate, NCRQ Certificate or equivalent). Certificate level Fire Safety qualification (NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent). Successful candidates MUST HAVE at least 1 year recent experience writing Fire Risk Assessments within the public/private residential sector. A full clean driving licence.

Global technology business is looking for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join their team in Northampton. Reporting directly to the Health, Safety and Environmental Manager you will be responsible for carrying out Risk, COSHH and Fire risk Assessments within the facility and consider and implement appropriate risk reduction measures. You will develop and implement safe operational procedures. Whilst advise department managers on specialist HSE areas i.e. fire regulations, hazardous substances, machinery guarding, occupational health issues. As the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor you will investigate accidents and near misses, taking the necessary steps to recommend steps to prevent recurrence. You will participate in internal HSE audits and maintain HSE records and databases. Keeping up to date with new HSE legislation and industry best practice. To be considered for the Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor you must hold a minimum of NEBOSH general, ideally working towards Diploma/Level 6 qualification. You must also have experience working in a similar role within a manufacturing environment. You will possess good interpersonal and communication skills and be comfortable dealing with all levels in the business. You will hold a recognised environmental qualification and have experience working with Health and Safety and Environmental management systems. Health and Safety Manager - Contract

A fantastic opportunity for a competent safety professional to join a privately-owned award-winning construction company to cover a highly prestigious multi-million project for a solid 12 months. Essentially your Health and Safety background must demonstrate previous experience working across build projects up to 100m+ with a major contractor. Responsible for promoting a positive health and safety culture this is a pivotal role for this project ensuring workforce engagement. Working closely with the project team you will be a point of contact, responsible for accident investigation, risk assessments, method statements, SHEQ inspections and audits, contractor management and working practices. This role requires an effective communicator with strong engaging skills and the ability to see the bigger picture. Previous experience of Behavioural Change Programmes would be advantageous. Reporting to the Head of Health and Safety you will need to hold a minimum of a Nebosh Construction Certificate or NCRQ equivalent and have already achieved TechIOSH or Grad IOSH status ideally.
