A well establish built environment consultancy are seeking to increase their division with a Principal Designer. Due to an expansion in the workload of projects they are looking for an APS qualified, experienced pre-construction phase plans Principal Designer. With multiple fast paced projects this is a varied and challenging position. The role will be advising and delivering the statutory duties of the Principal Designer as defined by CDM regulations, to multiple projects. You will have experience of working on a number of Principal Designer duties over a wide range of built environment projects. You must have acted as Principal Designer for at least 3 years working with pre-construction phase plans, be a current Member of the Association for Project Safety (APS) and hold a level 3 Health and Safety Certificate (NEBOSH, NCRQ or equivalent). The role will be office based with client visits primarily within the M25 easily accessible by public transport. You must be very comfortable with working in a client-facing capacity, demonstrate excellent communication skills, presentation and commercial awareness. In exchange this consultancy will offer 100% support and they have a proven history of training and development. Requirements: Minimum level 3 Health and Safety Certificate (NEBOSH, NCRQ or equivalent). 3 years minimum experience as a pre-construction phase plans Principal Designer. IMaPS or higher membership. Full UK driving licence. Desirable: CMaPS.

An expanding and established privately owned UK construction consultancy are seeking to further expand their existing team in London. The client has a number of major clients who they provide CDM / Principle Designer Services, providing the team with a high volume of small project works and on regular occasion a small number of larger projects. The client have created a very friendly, open CDM Team and they offer a supportive environment, with a real commitment to individual CPD. With a mixture of office based and client site visit communication and organisation are key to role. Ideally you our hold a Nebosh certificate (or equivalent) but your knowledge of CDM 2015 and general Health & Safety is what the client need. As Principle Designer, your duties will be to assist a number of clients in the collation of the pre-construction information (PCI), visiting sites identifying risks and hazards, attending project meetings, support project from pre-construction through to project completion.
